On December 1, 2023, a very special lady and member of our SHRM Chapter for many years passed away.  Bernie Deem.  Bernie was such a tiny lady, but had such a tremdous personality and heart.  There is not one person in our chapter that didin't gain HR knowledge from this energitic spirit.

 

Bernie held many offices over her career in the Charleston SHRM chapter and she held many HR seminars and and worked with various companies all over West Virginia to train management employees and give them the tools they need to exceed in their fields. 

 

Bernie made HR fun!  No one left her presence without knowing you had just been with this HR guru but you also knew once you became friends with her, you had a friend for life.  

 

Our thoughts and prayers go our to her family and many many friends in the community of HR. 

 

Bernie, you will always be a light that shines in our heart.
